One daily battle I have at home with the children is keeping their hands clean. They are forever outside, collecting mud under their fingernails, or inside using arts and craft materials. I’m constantly asking them to wash their hands whether it’s after using the toilet or before they have something to eat. Dettol have come up with a great solution, Automatic Hand Wash.
How cool is this? I just love the sleek silver dispenser and no more messing around pressing fiddly hand soap pumps, just pop your hands underneath and a blob of soap drops onto your hands!
This is perfect for my children to use and leaves no excuse for washing their hands. I know my little boy would often say he couldn’t push the pump down on a normal soap dispenser but with this it’s so simple. The hand wash is anti bacterial too, just what you need for muddy hands. Both my children have been using this daily and I can definitely say they have been washing their hands more willingly. When the soap runs out, you can simply buy a refill pack and it just pops inside, in place of the empty bottle.
I’ve also been liking the Power & Pure Multi Purpose Kitchen spray from the Dettol range. With active oxygen and killing 99.9% of bacteria, this foamy spray is great for all round use in the kitchen. This easily dissolves grease, dirt and soap scum, and I’ve had great results on my hob, draining board and around the sink leaving them shiny and clean.
Also in the range is a Surface Cleanser spray which has no odour and is great for surfaces you want to place food directly on such as in the fridge. Power & Pure Advance Bathroom wipes have a lovely mountain fresh fragrance. They are large wipes and with 80 in a pack will last a while. These are ideal for giving the bathroom sink a wipe round and over the taps. I also used these around the bath and across the tiles. They are so handy for a quick clean and being disposable means they are hygenic and not collecting germs like cloths can sometimes.

All reviews are my own and my family’s opinions and we received the products in order to write the review.
Having two young children and a pet cat, one thing we try to keep on top of is germs. They are everywhere and reminding children to constantly wash their hands is an ongoing battle. I use several products in order to keep us germ free but how well do they work?
There’s a new technology on the market now called Byotrol which can be found in a range of cleaning and personal hygiene products.
Byotrol is a unique technology that helps to protect families from germs – it’s the only product on the market that kills 99.9% of germs and continues to protect for up to 24 hours after use. It does this by creating an invisible barrier, which prevents germs from settling on the freshly sanitised surface.
We were sent a couple of products to try including Tesco anti-bacterial multi-surface cleaner and Boots Anti Viral Hand Foam.
The Tesco anti-bacterial multi-surface cleaner comes in an easy to use spray bottle. This is ideal for quickly going over kitchen surfaces or the children’s plastic table. It has a light apple fragrance which is pleasant to use. I found the cleaner to be effective giving the surfaces a clean, fresh feel to them and knowing that it will be germ free for up to 24 hours is great! I even used it on Mister B’s potty to keep it fresh and clean between uses.
The Boots Anti Viral Hand Foam comes in a large pump bottle. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this but found it surprisingly good. The foam spread easily across the hands leaving them feeling soft, fresh and completely dry within seconds. With two young children this is an excellent item to take out and about but also use around the home when you want to ensure their little hands are super clean.
If you want to find out more about the Hygiene Revolution and Byotrol, join their Facebook page and even better – if you fancy trying out a product containing Byotrol then just send them a message on Facebook mentioning that you heard about them on Mummy’s Little Stars and they’ll pop a product in the post to you.
