Personalised Tablet Case Review

With an iPad in our household in much need of a new cover I opted to try out one of the smart covers with it personalised using a photo of my beloved children. I’ve not had any experience with a smart cover before so was intrigued to see what they were like. Firstly I had to place my order through the website which I have to say was extremely simple and user friendly and although I could have customised the case in various ways I chose to simply just add a photograph. It was easy to upload and then I could size it as I felt best to fit the cover. Delivery was quick and efficient and arrived in just a few days.

Firstly I needed to attach the new cover to the iPad which is done by a magnetic hinge on the side of the cover. I was really impressed with how well this gripped onto the tablet and just sat in place perfectly. It really did fit like a glove!!

Next was to check out the various opening options, so apart from the obvious folding the whole cover open as a whole, you can fold the cover along the indented lines and create either a slightly slanted screen for working on or a more upright screen to use when viewing something. Both of these hold really well and sit at great angles appropriate to what you are using it for.

Overall I’m impressed with the cover from My Personalised Case in both the quality of the product, the quality of the personalised image and the fit to the tablet. These cases are a great way to protect your technology and can also be used as gift idea. Mr Nutcase Personalised Phone Cover – Review

Mr Nutcase produce personalised mobile phone and tablet covers to any design of your choice, be it one of their instantly available designs, a design of your own or by adding your own photo. Even the readily available colours and patterns can be additionally customised with clip art and text. You really can make a truly unique case.

I decided to surprise my husband with a new phone cover and with him having an iPhone I had the choice of an Ultra Lightweight Slimline case or an Executive Flip Leather Style. I would have liked to get the leather style case for him but on these only one side is printed and the other is plain white which I feel isn’t really suited to him and not a particularly manly choice. If they had the same option in black then I would definitely have gone for this – hopefully this option will become available in the future.

So I went with the Ultra Lightweight Slimline case and chose a photograph of our children to go on the back. I could then customise the colour to go either side of the picture and add any text clip art I wanted. I decided to keep things simple and went with just one large picture. I must point out that you can create a picture collage on the cover using one of the many varieties of collage templates they offer. The choice is excellent.

When the cover arrived quite literally the next day, I was very pleased with it and put it on my husbands phone when he wasn’t looking. He was thrilled when he first saw it and thought it was a great way to carry a picture of his children around with him. The picture looked good and for some reason I hadn’t really thought about the sides of the cover. I imagined they would be dark like the background of the photo but instead they were transparent – something I actually really like and think gives a fresh, modern feel,

We are very happy with the Mr Nutcase phone cover, the delivery service was excellent, the availability of design and customisation is great and the finished product is of a good quality. I’d definitely use Mr Nutcase again for a personalised cover.

My Little Pony – A Canterlot Wedding – App Review

My Little Pony is a favourite with most little girls, and this latest App, A Canterlot Wedding is a lovely interactive storybook with activities that can be played over and over again.

The story follows the preparation for the Royal Wedding. Princess Celestia, the bride to be has allocated jobs to each of the ponies in Canterlot, but they need help to carry them out.

The images are bold and bright in this My Little Pony storybook, something Miss M really enjoyed looking at and listening to. The word are written on each page, but also read out loud and you are prompted when to turn the page. During the story, there are opportunities to help the ponies carry out their jobs, such as decorated the wedding cake, choosing the bridal outfit for Princess Celestia and picking flowers.

Miss M really had fun going through the storybook with a smile on her face as she turned each page to see what came next. I asked her opinion of the My Little Pony storybook at the end and she said “I loved it”.

I thought this was a lovely app, then many young girls would enjoy although I would say Miss M, at 6 is at the upper age range to enjoy this. I think girls aged 3-6 years would really get the most out of this and go back to it again and again.

The app is available through iTunes and is currently half price, so now’s the time to buy a copy if you know a little girl that might like this.

Beatrix New York Pixel Robot Case for Tablets – Review

Beatrix New York Cases for tablets have to be one of the cutest range of iPad covers I’ve seen in a while. Aimed at children with their modern range of designs, Beatrix New York covers come with either a Robot, Dinosaur, Owl or Ladybird on the front. We chose the Robot to try with our iPad as it was an appealing design that both daddy and the children would be happy with.

The Beatrix New York cases are designed to be compatible with any tablets up to 10.1″ in size. Therefore it makes the ideal companion for the iPad.

This case is beautifully made to a really high standard, the quality really shows which is just what you want when looking for something to protect your iPad. The cases are padded with a velvet lining and water resistant protection for kid-proof protection. They are also PVC free, Phthalate free, BPA free, lead free & BPA free so no nasties in there making it perfect for little ones who are venturing into the world of tablets.

The design of the case is lovely, it drew the attention of both my children immediately. The image of the robot is bold, bright and beautifully embroidered to an exceptional standard. There is even a little name badge on the back so you can add your personal details. The zips have been well thought out with a soft touch, ergonomically friendly, shaped moulding that is easy to grab when opening and closing.

We were all amazed at the ultra soft feel inside. Perfect for protecting your iPad and it also made it really easy to slip the iPad in and out of. The whole family love this cover for the iPad and as it’s something primarily used by daddy and the children the design is perfect for them. We all love this and can’t recommend it highly enough in both quality and design aspects.
