The John Deere Dump Truck from Tomy is a fabulously sturdy, multi purpose toy that can be used indoors and out for endless hours of fun.
Being a large size and boldy coloured meant it caught 4yr old Mister B’s eyes immediately! He couldn’t wait to star playing. Aimed at ages 3-8yrs, Mister B is the perfect age for this toy.
It’s strong and sturdy with no small parts. This toy is built to last and withstand some knocking and bashing! The back of the dumper truck lifts up completely in order to tip out it’s goods. The giant chunky wheels also go round smoothly so that it can easily be pushed across the carpet, grass, sand, wherever you decide to take this vehicle on it’s journey. Little ones will love using their imaginations with this truck and turn it into a useful carry along vehicle for whatever objects they wish.
I have to say it was hard to get a photo of Mister B playing with this as he constantly zooms around with it making all my pictures go blurry! He absolutely loves it and has played with it in many different ways, using the back to transport different other toys across the room. He’s really loves tipping the contents out when he reaches his destination with the built in handle to make tipping simple!
Where I think this toy will really shine is on the beach. We can’t wait to take it with us on holiday in July to Cornwall and get the dump truck really working hard with loads full of sand and stones on the beach. With it’s solid, durable plastic build, this is the ideal beach toy to provide hours of fun.

N would love this, given we have predominantly John Deere on the farm. He loves playing with his jcb big dumper truck and excavator in the garden with the gravel…I hate it because the patio is now full of gravel.
I’m surprised they advise up to age 8. Our 6 year old nephew still plays with N’s dumper truck when N is, but much prefers other older toys and football now. And that’s farming children who are obsessed with farm vehicles. Although maybe that’s because they can go out on the real things with their dads?
